There is something magical about taking a 3-dimensional, movement-centered art form and translating it to a 2-dimensional image that still captures that feeling of motion - of strength - of grace - of power. There is something even more magical about seeing a young dancers face light up when they see a perfectly timed photo and realize what they are truly capable of. To make sure that I'm able to give each and every dancer the images they deserve, I have spent years learning the ART of dance photography and mastering the details of posing & lighting dancers specifically for the camera. It's the subtle adjustments, the slight shift in a supporting leg, the angle of light, the tilt of the head that I obsess over so that every dancer looks and FEELS their very best!

Every collection includes a pre-session consultation to plan your perfect photo shoot, our time together, and a number of digital image files. Pricing is all-inclusive and there are never any hidden charges.
the Studio
One of the things I love most in this world is my studio! Not only is it centrally located just north of Downtown Denver in the RiNo Arts District, it has SO MANY great spaces to capture images. From the balcony and the courtyard, to the natural light studio with floor-to-ceiling windows, the sunroom with it's "living wall", the back patio and the 5 studio set options - it's a dream. Add to that about 60 different backdrops and more props/chairs/benches that I have storage space for - I never run out of options or ideas. OH, and did I mention the style and accessory closets??
As a bonus, the studio is also within walking distance of the incredible street art that Downtown Denver is known for and unlimited fabulous urban backdrops.
Small Groups
What's more fun than a dance session? A dance session with your besties. You train together, laugh together, cry together. You are family. A group photo shoot is the BEST way to celebrate your team, your besties, your dance family! Small group sessions can be for as few as three and as many as 10 dancers and be photographed in studio or on location. Pricing is per dancer and includes the session as well as individual and group photos in digital format for each participant.
Limited Edition and Mini Sessions

From time to time throughout the year I will offer Limited Edition sessions. These sessions are open to a very limited number of sessions and typically, but not always, involve some "magic". My fabric mini sessions - offered in January and July - are my most popular limited edition sessions and sell out FAST so be sure to watch for those.

Mini sessions are also offered throughout the year. Mini sessions are 30-minute sessions that are either themed or offered in a specific location. These sessions include 10 digital image files and are the perfect quick fix for social media updates, comp season celebrations, solo highlights & just because.

How many photos are included and do I get printing rights?
Each session is a bit different (you can see the collections via the button above) as to the number of images included. ALL of the collections include fully edited high-resolution images - and some include additional web-only photos as well!
What if it rains/snows and we have an outdoor shoot scheduled?
Welcome to Colorado...where the weather can change every 10 minutes! I always monitor the weather the day before our session. If it looks like we need to reschedule, we will absolutely find another date, typically within just a few days!
What if I can't decide what to wear?
Don't stress! As soon as your session is scheduled I will send you a planning guide to help with wardrobe, location choice, hair and makeup tips, prepping for your session, and much more. If you still have questions, I'm always available to walk through more details. We'll also have a quick planning session with every photo shoot to make sure we are on the same page.
Do I need to have all my poses picked ahead of time?
Yes....and no. Every dancer is unique in their strengths, skills, and favorite styles of dance. I ask that you come with a selection of poses prepared that showcase your talents or that you want to try and recreate, but in our time together we will absolutely create even more!
How long will it be before I see my photos?
How does 24-48 hours sound?! I've been in the industry for over 20 years and have a very efficient workflow so I can deliver your initial photo gallery faster than is typical. The quick turnaround time is also great for those...ahem...last minute audition photos.
